"Convenient, but a bit pricey"
I’ve used the Stansted Express a few times now and, to be fair, it’s usually straightforward. It’s quick enough and I’ve never really had much trouble getting on, so I can’t complain too much there. That said, I do feel like it’s quite expensive for what it is, especially if you haven’t booked in advance. For a fairly short airport train journey, the cost kind of adds up. I’d probably use it again if I needed to, but i’m not sure I’d call it great value for money.

"Decent ride, but the delays are frustrating"
The train itself was fine, comfortable enough and the trip went smoothly once we were moving. I was feeling good about it at first, but then the delays really killed the mood. It’s not terrible, and I’d probably still use it again, but it’s hard to fully rely on when you’re not sure if it’ll actually be on time.

I’ve used the Stansted Express a few times now, and by my own standards, the price is generally okay, especially when I’ve booked in advance. It’s not what I’d call a bargain, but compared with taking a taxi or sorting travel last minute, it feels fair. Booking online was straightforward and my ticket came through quickly, which I appreciated. I’d still like to see the peak fares come down a bit, but overall I’d give it 4 stars because it’s reliable enough and the price is decent, even if there’s room for improvement.

"Super easy, no hassle"
Validation was really quick and the barrier opened on the first try, so I had no issues at all. Weirdly, I remember there was a tiny sticker on the machine that looked like it had been there forever, but everything worked perfectly.

The train was late, which was annoying, though maybe I was expecting too much to begin with. The updates were actually clear, and getting the refund sorted was easier than I thought it would be

The staff helped me really quickly (which I appreciated since I didn’t want to be standing around confused), and the train ride itself was fine. Nothing fancy, but everything went smoothly.

Booked my ticket in just a few minutes and the payment went through without any weird card issues, which is always a relief. The confirmation showed up quickly too. i was expecting it to take longer for some reason, but it was all smooth overall

I booked my ticket online it was straightforward. I remember feeling relieved because I was expecting it to be more of a hassle, but everything went smoothly for the most part. Took the Stansted Express last week, fully expecting the usual pre-flight discomfort saga, but honestly? The seats were a pleasant plot twist. They were comfy enough for the ride, not rock-hard, and I actually had space to sit without feeling like I was being packed into a suitcase. It’s not some grand luxury experience, of course, but for an airport train, it was way better than I expected. I even managed to relax a bit before the madness of flying began. Easy 5 stars from me.

I had two suitcases and a backpack with me and expected it to be a hassle, but I found luggage space easily. The train was a bit busy, so at times I felt kind of trapped in my spot with everyone around me, but it still wasn’t a big problem overall

"Shockingly Calm for an Airport Train"
I took the Stansted Express last week fully prepared for the usual airport travel chaos, but somehow… nothing dramatic happened. It was way less crowded than I expected, with plenty of seats even with luggage in tow. Getting on and off was easy too, which felt like a small miracle. It made the whole trip to the airport so much less stressful. I’d definitely use it again.

I had to wait a bit longer than I expected, but the refund did come through eventually. I kept checking my bank app while I was making coffee in the mornings, which probably didn’t make it happen any faster, but it was a relief when it finally showed up.

"Cleaner than I expected, honestly"
I used the Stansted Express last week and, to be fair, the train was actually clean. The seats looked tidy, there wasn’t any rubbish around where I was sitting, and the floor seemed okay too. I did think the toilets could’ve been a bit fresher, although maybe I’m being a bit picky since they weren’t awful. For an airport train, it was better than I expected. I’d give it 4 stars because it felt clean enough and comfortable overall

"Quick help, no weird runaround"
I had a question about my ticket and expected the usual maze of auto-replies and “please hold” nonsense, like all these companies secretly agreed to make support as annoying as possible. But they got back to me fast, gave me a clear answer, and sorted it without turning it into a whole investigation. Kind of suspicious how smoothly it went, but in a good way. I’d use them again.
